Akshaya Patra
Akshaya Patra is a large non-profit organization that provides nutritious meals to over 1.76 million kids in thousands of schools across India. Their motto, “food for education,” perfectly sums up the idea that providing meals in schools offers parents the reassurance that their children will be fed, in turn incentivizing them to prioritize their children's schooling. Thanks to Akshaya Patra’s efforts, millions of children in India have access to proper nourishment in schools, allowing them to focus on their education!
